U.S.A. Freeze Military Aid To Pakistan

United States froze military aid worth 800 million dollars for Pakistan. The amount is nearly one-third of the security assistance amounting to 2.7 billion dollars that it provides every year to Islamabad, said Chief of Staff of President Barack Obama on Sunday.
Relationship that the two main ally deteriorated since U.S. commandos shot dead al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in the garrison city of Pakistan, Abbottabad, 2 May.
Last month, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that Washington would slow the U.S. military aid to Pakistan if it fails to take steps that could not be detailed to help the United States.
Now, it seems, the warning is realized, when William Daley, Obama's chief of staff, confirmed the New York Times report that the government's delay and, in certain cases, cancel the military aid of about 800 million dollars.
"They have taken a number of steps that have given us a reason to stop a number of assistance we provide to the military, and we're trying to execute it," Daley said on the ABC program.
"The core problem is, our relationship with Pakistan is very complicated," said Daley. "Clearly, there is still a very painful feeling in the political system of Pakistan following the attack which we do to catch Osama.''
According to the New York Times, which
assistanc ethat froze includes about 300 million dollars instead of spending Pakistan for placement costs more than 100,000 troops along the Afghan border. In addition, hundreds of millions of dollars in aid for training and military hardware is also postponed.
Pakistan response
Meanwhile, Pakistan responded by saying the U.S. move will not affect its ability to fight terror groups.
General Athar Abbas said Islamabad has not officially notified of the reason it froze aid and what they ask.
In announcing the move, the United States declared Pakistan an important ally, but very difficult to address the relationship between the two countries
