Study: Chewing Prevent Childhood Obesity As Adults

The majority of parents are often worried when her baby eating too much candy or other sweet foods. They think that these foods will damage the child's teeth. That may be true. But, you do not get too ngoyo to make the ban.
Research Louisiana State University, USA, revealed that the consumption of sweet foods when the child's age actually have an impact both on growth in the future. Sweet foods consumed in childhood will prevent the body to be fat as adults.
Based on that study, children who regularly eat chocolate have less risk of developing obesity in the adult stage than those who do not often eat chocolate. Similar effects are still valid even in teens who love to eat sweet foods. They tend to be slimmer than those who do not like sweet foods.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the study was conducted by monitoring more than 11 thousand children and adolescents with an age range of two to 18 years, from 1999 to 2004.
Based on data published in the Journal of Food and Nutrition Research shows that children who like to eat candy at risk of obesity 22 percent less than those who do not like eating candy. While in adolescents, those who like sweet foods have little risk of obesity 26 percent.
This discovery is contrary to most research that shows that the candy is not only bad for your child's teeth, but also the body.
Explain the contradictory findings of previous studies, the researchers say that children are fed sugary foods in appropriate portions of an early age can learn about the importance of food discipline.
Researchers also said that those who eat sweet foods only at certain events will be more aware about their eating habits so as to control calorie intake.
"This study illustrates that children and teens who eat sweets tend not to be overweight. However, it does not mean the candy can replace the nutrients in food," said Dr. Carol O'Neil, head of research.
According to him, this could have happened because the kids will get used to eating smaller portions every day. He also added that there is a possibility of children who regularly eat candy do sports more often than not.
