Khadafi be Accused Masterminding Mass Rape

Moammar Khadafi
International Criminal Court prosecutor accused the Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi of masterminding an operation of mass rape in his country. Gaddafi also accused of arming his troops with sexual medicine to attack the women.

"Now we get information that Gaddafi himself has decided to rape, and this new information," said Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the prosecutor, as quoted by the Telegraph pages.

Moreno-Ocampo said that there are reports of hundreds of women from a number of areas in Libya, who became victims. The women were held hostage in sexual violence for several months.

Prosecutors also have evidence of involvement of the Libyan authorities in the purchase-enhancing drugs like Viagra for sexual arousal army. This is the official government policy for gang rape. "They buy a few containers of Viagra as a weapon to rape a woman."

Before bagging the evidence, Moreno-Ocampo Gaddafi initially hesitant about the possibility of using mass rape as a weapon to suppress political opponents. This is part of a strategy to spread fear. "This is very bad, out of bounds, I would say," said Moreno-Ocampo.

Evidence Gaddafi gave orders for the mass rape began to emerge stronger after the testimony of one victim in March. To the international media, a Libyan woman named Iman al-Obeidy Gaddafi forces claimed to have been raped.

Top of evidence of crimes, the International Criminal Court is awaiting the judge's decision against Kadhafi, son Seif al-Islam, and chief Abdullah al-Sanussi Intelligence. Arrest warrants have also been issued.
