Customers Data of Sega Hack by Hacker

Data about 1.3 million customers burglarized hacker game company Sega. The hackers managed to break the data from the network Sega Pass, which operates in Europe.

As quoted from PCWorld website, the hackers managed to steal customer data includes names, birth dates, email addresses and passwords are encrypted. However, consumer credit card information is not included in the stolen data.

Sega asked consumers to beware of suspicious communications from anyone, especially those that ask for personal information. Sega has temporarily disable Sega Pass site and are investigating the incident.

In its website, Sega post a message reads, "Sega Pass was increased so that new members can not join, and who has been a member have not been able to modify the detailed information, including password reset."

Leakage is a hacking incident last large-scale, which occurred in recent months. Previously, Sony and Citibank also conceded their customer data.

LulzSec, hacker group that had claimed their attacks against Sony, has denied being behind the attack. Even on the Twitter account, LulzSec offer their assistance to Sega.

"@ Sega - contact us. We want to help you destroy the hackers who attack you," said a tweet from @ LulzSec.
